So I finally decide to go spruge on my giftcard only to find out that the PL has disappeared. Not a surprize in this rundown plaza. Tons of space and half of the stores are gone. I'll have to pick up new flats and sneakers another time. Still looking for shoes for my Liac dress though :(. Although I did see some slammin rainbow pumps that I thought would work. Anywho back to the haul. I got some makeup, and a nail buffer, a metal spray bottle, some air freshers, random food(snacks and what not I was hungry lol)...some glue so I can finish up my glass already..and the steal deal...some LA art deco nail colors! You know the one with the thin art brush inside. Everyone uses these in their nail tutorials on youtube. I was getting strip right from Sally's. But they are a mess I hate them. I thought it was just me and my poor aplication but I conivensed now that its the polish and the brush. Art Deco's acts and looks 10x betta and I only paid a dollar compared to 4 bucks for Stripe Right. I thought u could only pick these LA colors up on the west coast so I was so excited. Sadly they only had a few colors. Looked like some people beat me to the punch :(. But I did cop some gold glitter, silver and white ( they also had orange and green glitter and green but I wasn't too interested in those lol). I also got some lip pencils, a gloss by LA colors and a eyeliner but nothing special. All in all I think it was a very good haul :)

Ok guys ya'll know how big of a Raheem Devaughn fan I am. Well I pre-ordered the 16 track "The love and War Masterpeace" on amazon. Yet I just couldn't wait so I also downloaded it as well lol. Raheem occasionally does ustream videos where he sits and converses with dedicated fans like me via video/webchat. He did so on the night the album was to be released. While he was chatting he said the album and the lyrics didn't come from him but 'thru" him...he is just spreading the message to us (wow).He also stated that he started recording the album back in 2007, right after the second album dropped. Shows how timeless his music is. I enjoy other local artists such as Wale, Tabi Bonney, but local talent doesn't get much betta then this. This dude is a hustla. He put out not 1 but 2 mixtapes while he was finishing this joint, and still this album is so on point. Hard work does and will pay off. This album is defiantly a solid fluid piece of work, and on another stratosphere compared to Love Behind the Melody and the Love Experience( not saying that those weren't also good).Some of my favs are "The love and War Masterpeace" are Nobody Wins a
War(great collabo with the neosoul allstars...Jill Scott killed the end), The
Greatness(nice collabo with Wale and just a positive joint), and Bedroom
(sounds likes a Robin or Maxwell joint cause he hits those high notes
lol). Although there were some honorable mentions(BOB, Fragile, Black and Blue). Just the album as a whole is very solid and fluid with a very Marvin Gaye/Prince-ish theme with the anti-war anti-military,love song flipping back and forth. as well. There are some more joints I missed cause I didn't cop the double cd, but on a whole I think it sounds very polished put next to the to previous
albums...its so worth a listen ya'll for real. Oh I will be copping that double this weekend if I can work it in.

Love day 2010
So today is Valentine's. I'm still single but its all good. I'm no longer gonna worry bout finding a boyfriend, falling in love whatever. I'm just gonna keep doing me. I'm gonna try to learn to love myself and enjoy them time I have with the ones who love me. Spring is on the way and I see the sun shining thru. I have faith. I like the message in this EWF song. Mr. Donnie Simpson suggested if he was on the air he would play this joint right here. Happy Valentine's Day ya'll.

well this has been a eventful weekend. thanks to that root canal has now gone bad and went to my gum and has to take it out. So thats what I'll be trying to do Monday. We got the biggest storm in the DC area in year and someone broke my shovel digging out a car. Oh and the Saints won the Superbowl. Who Dat?

my health and other more random stuff
First off shot outs to my girl Shanda from ManandWife.TV. love them. If you don't know who she is she's the wife of Scoop. Scoop is/was a NYC radio DJ personality who like some other DJs decided to branch out on the music scene. He made hits with Missy Elliott, Busta, and a lot of other celebs, putting out his one of a kind voice and usually runs tour as a hypeman getting the crowd ready for various concerts. I believe they may have had a radio show at one time and they used to do live show or onair segment. For a short time they also had a show on MTV. Anywho along with the website where they are usually doing a webshow together Shanda also has her own vlog "Shanda Says". She recently did a vid on PCOS.
A few weeks ago I went to the doc and complained about some womanly and hormonal problems I've been having recently and she suggested I get a get a ultrasound. The ultrasound found some things some small fibroids (no shocker there, she said there were too small to be concerned about) most importantly a cyst. Which has probably been there for years. I never heard of it till she mentioned it so I did some quick research. I may have PCOS I have all the symptoms that Shonda mentioned as well but my doctor didn't mention that. So in a few weeks I'm going back to the doc for a biopic(sp?) to confirm. Then maybe another ultrasound in a few weeks after that for a checkup. Sigh personally I hate doctors appointments but I try to keep there regularly because I like to be aware of my health. I'll be sure to mention PCOS when I see her again.
